Sportswear brands Stylerunner and Nike's franchise partner for ANZ stores, Retail Prodigy Group, were the major winners at the inaugural Retail Customer Excellence Awards held last week. Representatives from retail heavyweights across the country, including Myer, Lush, Dan Murphy's, and Super Retail Group came together to celebrate and recognise organisations who place the customer front and centre in strategic considerations and day-to-day operations. Melbourne's Plaza Ballroom provided an extravagant atmosphere befitting the prestigious awards ceremony. In accepting the evening's top prize, The Customer Centricity Excellence Award for enterprise sized organisations, Retail Prodigy Group (RPG) GM, Andrew McDonald, said he was humbled to receive the acknowledgment. "We're lucky enough to be franchise partner for Nike in Australia and New Zealand and it's been a short existence of five years but a rocket ride," said McDonald. "In that period of time we've managed over 53 stores and had incredible success and it's been an amazing journey, no doubt." McDonald said RPG were fortunate to have Nike's product range and innovation, but as an organisation, focusing on customers was of paramount importance.
